Mods are a given in almost any non competitive game unless they are being used to cheat excessively. So I actually came across this while looking for mods and this is my two cents:
They either go full melee (lightning claws, shield/melee weapon combo) or they have a ranged weapon in one hand and a melee weapon in the other. FYI, terminators don't carry side arms or two handed weapons. The MK-2 variant is a bit better in this regard, although the design is very obviously that of a combi-bolter, which is kinda inferior to a storm bolter. I would have preferred if they had given them the rapid fire they have in Space Marine. Are storm bolters done properly in Deathwing? Not really IMO. For example, in Space Marine it's more akin to a heavy rifle of sorts, while there's still the illusion of the bolts exploding on impact. As with anything in 40k, the behaviour of bolters varies from author to author. I specifically wanna address the bolter thing you brought up. They're not bad suggestions per se, but mods can only get you so far. Second, you're straight up asking for a different game with some of your suggestions. Just curious about this subject.įirst of all, devs haven't responded to anyone on this forum, or on their own about Deathwing, for over a year. These are just my thoughts, I'm not trying to step on any toes, or be "harsh" to you devs. So You could carry a Bolter as a true side arm, while also having a main weapon that is one or two handed.
Perhaps I am simply not noticing this? Also weapons and space marine armor often have mag locks. Aren't Bolts Supposed to explode after impact? I don't see them doing this in the game. Why not give them associated bonuses based on something to do with the lore of that chapter?īolters and Bolts. One thing I thought about was, why don't the "skins" you can unlock, do anything? They look cool and are worth buying for the looks alone. You shouldn't have to level up your command skill so a Terminator Squad can learn to not stand in each others line of fire. Also the single player skills could use an entire rework. Personally I feel that each class should have 3 passive skills, 3 chosen skills that activate particularly the Librarian. Adleast I hope so.ĭifferent abilities for the classes / more abilities. I mean, simply opening the game for the modding community would increase the number of maps almost certainly. Increasing the number of players in a match.Ĭreating a Second, opposing team of Chaos Space marines or whatever to work against the other team as they or both teams try to complete goals and missions. This would breath a certain amount of life back into the game and community. Have you, the Devs, considered opening the game for the modding community? Even as DLC, unless I'm completely missing some post somewhere that counters this. This game shows little to no signs of getting any real, substantial, or new content.
